I used to have a handy dandy link from a vintage dealer friend who’d let me run VINs on his account, but he closed up and moved on. I just need a single record for a Honda. Anyone?

At this point I think we should just all pitch in to get a shared Oppo carfax account.

That’s not a terrible idea!

The trick would be to make the account info openly available to those on Oppo with out making it available to the entire internet.

Put it on the Oppo reddit. Nobody would ever see it.

Or perhaps a clippy assistant that sees when someone is asking for a carfax and suggests that they actually include the VIN.

A free way to run vehicle history checks is to create a post on ebay for the car and input the VIN into the ad, and then once the ad is posted quickly delete it and then you can use the autocheck system built into ebay to look at the vehicles history!

If it has a plate, I can run that, otherwise I'm down to one vin left, and I need to hang onto it for now. They unlimited vins are a thing of the past on carfax now. But you can run unlimited plates. So just need the number and state.

I got it from ebay. Good enough. Don’t wanna hassle you for possibly more detail. Thanks though!
